Our Family Health Partners can provide education and resource material relating to educational issues and IEP strategies. A major portion of the work in many regions is helping parents with children and youth with special health care needs in navigating the educational system. Many of our client families have children requiring specialized educational plans, and negotiating with school systems, therapists, and educational professionals to assure their child receives appropriate services sometimes requires an experienced hand. Our Family Health Partners are available to assist and educate client families with these stressful and often difficult educational decisions
Family Health Partners seek and provide resource material for our client families. Each Family Health Partner works hard to accumulate local, regional , and national resources for families in need, providing direction and helpful advice for families seeking help, assistance, and care which may be beyond the standard system of care within the existing healthcare network. Resources can include materials related to adaptive equipment and procurement, assistance with legal issues, medical information, etc.
Family Health Partners seek to educate and inform both our clients and the community at large. Our team seeks out opportunities to provide educational resources for parents, such as conferences, workshops, and support groups. We actively seek out sources of additional material for parents regarding disabilities, diseases and illnesses, and precautionary measures parents can take for their families. Family Health Partners will also actively seek to educate within CMS, providing materials, resources, and opportunities to educate and inform staff and management.

Family Health Partners and the Family Resource Coalition, INC, seek to raise up other families as leaders. Our teams ultimate goal is to develop greater leadership and independence within the families of Floridas exceptional children. By providing direction and guidance our team helps families to better help themselves as their families travel the road of care and support for their children, with these families often developing into supports for other families in need.
Family Health Partners work to provide and inform on issues of Cultural Competency in CMS offices. The state of Florida proudly recognizes the many cultures and ethnic groups who have made this great state their home. Our team works hard to combine cultural competency with supportive care, and to foster understanding and sensitivity to cultural differences and norms
Family Health Partners work to promote Disaster Preparedness with our client families. Working together with our regions CMS services, FRC seeks to better prepare our client families with information and resources for disaster preparedness, sheltering information, and better preparation for their families and special children. In our state, which experiences severe weather situations regularly, it is an essential part of daily living to assure that families with children and youth with special health care needs are safe and protected during these extraordinary events.
Family Health Partners help client families in understanding and navigating the CMS system of care for their children. Todays complex medical systems and services can be confusing, especially for young or new families. Our team helps them to understand practices, plans, and procedures for working in cooperation with their childs medical team.
The Family Resource Coalition, Inc, encourages families to celebrate positive outcomes One of the major goals of FRC with every family is successful outcomes, and recognizing further family accomplishments in our goals is important to encouraging families to continue to develop and grow in their skills.
