The Family Resource Coalition, Inc. works to achieve strategic goals with the families we serve. With each referred family we are seeking to encourage them onward, to achieve ever greater success for their children, with the eventual goals of creating a stronger family network, more empowered and independent families, and helping to position our client families for ongoing success.

Family Resource Coalition, Inc. Goals:

· Family centered System of Care- Together with our partners at the Childrens Medical Services Network, we team to achieve a system of care and planning which keeps the family unit as the pivotal focus
  · Access to resources- Each Family Health Partner works hard to accumulate local, regional, and national resources for families in need, providing direction and helpful advice for families seeking help, assistance, and care which may be beyond the standard system of care within the existing healthcare network.
  · Strong Partnership with the State of Florida- The Family Resource Coalition Inc greatly values the trust and responsibility which we share in the care of these families within our great state. Our team works from within regional CMS offices, and within a framework designed in partnership with the CMS administration to administer support services in conjunction with the high level of care coordination provided by the regional CMS staff.
  · Develop Leadership in Families- Our teams ultimate goal is to develop greater leadership and independence within the families of Florida children and youth with special health care needs. By providing direction and guidance our team helps families to better help themselves as their families learn the system of care and support for their children. Ultimately we hope to develop these families into a resource for other families in need.
  · Cultural Competency- Florida proudly recognizes the many cultures and ethnic groups who have made this great state their home. Our team works hard to combine cultural competency with supportive care, and to foster understanding and sensitivity to cultural differences and norms
  · Empower Youth- FRC works to encourage youth to learn good decision making skills and safety practices, spurring them on to become productive, educated adults.
  · Disaster Preparedness- Working together with our regions CMS services, FRC seeks to better prepare our client families with information and resources for disaster preparedness, sheltering information, and better preparation for their families and children and youth with special health care needs.
  · Assistance Navigating System of Care- Todays complex medical systems and services can be confusing for new or inexperienced families. Our team helps them to understand practices, plans, and procedures for working in strong cooperation with their childs medical team.
· Celebrate Positive Outcomes- The goal of FRC for every family is success, and recognizing further accomplishments in our goals is important to encouraging families to continue to develop and grow in their skills.
